INTERNATIONAL YOUTH THINK TANK
A Think Tank that works for an open society
Web / Identity / Graphic design
In order to mobilize young people to catalyze a defense of the values of the open society, the plan is to create a new organization in Gothenburg that combines the typical characteristics of think tanks and international youth conferences. This International Youth Think Tank brings together Europeans aged 18-24, and decision- makers in business, public institutions, and civil society. The think tank is intended to function as a supportive forum for young people where they can develop their projects, and a place for trans-generational meetings. The overall objective is to strengthen and support democracy and the open society, and to constitute an international platform for discussions on the conditions for future sustainable development and prosperity.
Our mission here was to create a graphic identity that expresses International Youth Think Tank’s values, not least their idea of an open society. And to create a valuable platform, in the form of a website, to spread knowledge and news of the organization’s growth. All to attract a young target group, consisting of unlike-minded individuals from different countries, with different backgrounds.
Four different, clear colors signals open-mindedness. These are often used as backdrops to bring forth IYTT’s messages. A sharp and distinct font highlights the importance of the issues being discussed. And illustrations in the form of speech balloons emphasizes the importance of discussions to create solutions to problems in our society.
The feedback from our client was nothing but positive. With the help of their new graphic identity and their website, IYTT felt they would be able to attract many different individuals from all over Europe. And they did: for their first conference, they got 199 applications from 17 countries, amongst them Spain, Greece, Serbia, Ireland and Romania. We’re glad we could help out!
